BS Nursing Successfully Defends Intramurals Crown

Students of the Central Luzon Doctors’ Hospital Educational Institution (CLDHEI) institute of nursing and allied health sciences held the 2023 edition of its annual Intramurals and Cultural Day with a display of talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The event, which ran from November 15 to 17, 2023, at the CLDHEI campus, featured various competitions in sports, cultural, and academic categories. The BS Nursing students emerged as the overall champions again, followed by the BS Medical Technology, BS Radiologic Technology, and BS Pharmacy students.

BS Nursing: The Reigning Champion
The BS Nursing students, who dominated the sports events, retained their title as the champions of the 2023 college Intramurals and Cultural Day. They excelled in basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and chess, winning seven of the gold medals in these events. They also performed very well in the cultural and academic competitions, showcasing their talents in singing, dancing, and poster making.
BS Medical Technology: The Runner-Up
The BS Medical Technology students, who started off as the frontrunners in the scoreboard, had to settle for the second place after losing their earlier lead in the sports events. They impressed everyone with their skills in both English and Filipino essay-writing, cheer dance, and quiz bee. However, they could not match the BS Nursing or BS Radiologic Technology students’ performance in the sports events, which cost them the overall title.
BS Radiologic Technology: The Third Placer
The BS Radiologic Technology students claimed the third place in the overall ranking, thanks to their strong performances in sports and cultural events. They won the title of Mr. CLDHEI and showed their prowess in sports by getting six golds. However, the literary and musical competitions were not their stronger points.
BS Pharmacy: The Fourth Placer
The BS Pharmacy students, with winning the title of Ms. CLDHEI and runner up in the Mr. CLDHEI as the highlights of their achievements, were the fourth placers in the overall ranking. They showed strength in the cultural and academic events by getting the gold in the chorale competition, however, their participation in the sports events did not earn enough points to get them a higher finish.
